Amman, Feb. 17 (SANA) Jordan strongly condemned on Monday provocative incursions by Israeli occupation officials at Al-Aqsa Mosque, the latest involving a member of the so-called Knesset, describing them as a blatant violation of international law.
Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali said Jordan “categorically rejects and condemns” the actions, which violate the mosque’s historical and legal status and desecrate its sanctity. He stressed that Israel has no sovereignty over occupied Jerusalem or its Islamic and Christian holy sites.
Al-Majali called on the international community to compel Israel, as the occupying power, to halt illegal actions, noting that near-daily Israeli incursions continue at Al-Aqsa and across West Bank towns and religious sites.
