Israeli occupation forces detain 14 Palestinians in West Bank raids

West Bank, Jan.12 (SANA)   Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of predawn raids across several areas of the West Bank on Monday, arresting 14 Palestinians, according to the Palestinian News Agency WAFA.

WAFA reported that Israeli occupation forces arrested three Palestinians, including a child, in the city of al-Bireh and the Jalazone refugee camp at dawn, after raiding and vandalizing their homes.

A large Israeli force also stormed the Shu’fat refugee camp and the al-Salam neighborhood in the town of Anata, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, arresting four Palestinians.

In the city of Nablus, Israeli occupation forces raided the Old City and detained five Palestinians in the al-Yasmina neighborhood, the Old Askar refugee camp and the Balata refugee camp, after breaking into their residences and ransacking their belongings.

Another Israeli force arrested two Palestinians in al-Bireh city and the Jalazone refugee camp north of the city, WAFA said.

In a related development, residents of the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah, confronted an attempt by settlers to attack several homes south of the town after midnight.

Separately, a Palestinian died on Sunday from wounds sustained after being shot by Israeli occupation forces in the city of Hebron, in the southern West Bank.
