Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani and the head of General Intelligence, Hussein Salameh participated on Wednesday in Munich Security Conference Leaders meeting held in AlUla city, Saudi Arabia.

The meeting will discuss key issues including the future of Syria, the Palestinian cause, Iran’s nuclear file, the war in Ukraine, Red Sea security, energy, food and climate security, economic integration, and the corridor connecting India, the Middle East, and Europe.

The first session of the meeting was titled: “The Middle East in a Multipolar World.”

The Munich Security Conference (MSC) is one of the world’s leading forums for debating international security policy, bringing together hundreds of senior decision-makers, including heads of state, ministers, and experts.

The annual conference serves as a platform for dialogue on political and security, as well as global challenges.

Al-Shaibani previously attended the 61st Munich Security Conference in Germany in February. He called for the lifting of all economic sanctions on Syria to support its stability and reconstruction
