Aleppo, June 27 (SANA) The 24th International Conference of the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) opened on Saturday at the University of Aleppo under the patronage of the Ministries of Health and Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Aleppo province, with the participation of government officials, academics, and a large number of physicians and researchers from Syria and abroad.
The conference, titled “Advancing Healthcare and Restoring Hope: Pathways for Collaboration to Deliver High-Quality and Sustainable Healthcare in Syria,” aims to empower local medical professionals and foster scientific and research partnerships that support the long-term sustainability of Syria’s healthcare sector.
The conference was inaugurated in the presence of Health Minister Musab al-Ali, University of Aleppo rector Osama Raadoun, representing Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Marwan al-Halabi, Economy and Industry Minister Nidal al-Shaar, as well as faculty members and students from the University of Aleppo.
The three-day 24th SAMS International Conference focuses on advancing healthcare transformation and strengthening medical education in Syria by introducing modern treatment protocols in teaching hospitals and promoting joint research to support the recovery and long-term sustainability of the country’s healthcare sector.
