Syria launches free pediatric heart catheterization campaign in Damascus

The Ministry of Health announced the launch of a free pediatric heart catheterization campaign at the Heart and Cardiac Surgery Hospital in Dummar on November 7, 2025, under the supervision of specialized Syrian cardiologists.

The initiative is organized under the supervision of a team of specialized pediatric cardiologists and aims to diagnose and treat congenital heart defects through advanced interventional procedures, all provided free of charge, the Ministry announcement on Monday added.

The campaign is being held in cooperation with the Syria Relief and Development organization (SRD) and in partnership with Qatar Charity.

According to the ministry statement, the drive forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen pediatric cardiac care services across Syria and expand access to specialized treatment for children with congenital heart conditions.

Families can register for preliminary medical assessment by completing the online form available through the Ministry of Health’s official website: https://survey.moh.gov.sy/index.php/236257?lang=ar
