Seoul, Sept. 13 (SANA) A Syrian Education Ministry delegation is taking part in a training program in South Korea focused on teacher development, digital transformation and the use of artificial intelligence in education, the ministry said on Sunday.
The delegation, which includes directors from several ministry departments and directorates, is participating in the program under the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
The program includes specialized workshops and meetings aimed at examining how South Korea’s experience in education and public administration could be adapted to Syria’s needs.
Sessions focus on change management, capacity building, governance and digital transformation, as well as the use of AI to improve education systems and institutional performance.
South Korean academics and former ministers are also delivering lectures, while field visits to educational and technology institutions are giving the Syrian delegation an opportunity to examine practical applications of the topics covered.
The ministry said the program combines theoretical training with practical experience and allows participants to explore South Korean approaches to professional development, digital transformation and AI-supported education.
The initiative is part of Syria’s efforts to strengthen cooperation with international partners, develop administrative and educational practices and modernize teaching and management tools, the ministry added.
