London, May 19 (SANA) Syria’s Education Minister Mohammad Abdul Rahman Turko held talks on Tuesday in London with his Jordanian counterpart Azmi Mahafzah and Turkish Education Minister Yusuf Tekin on ways to strengthen educational cooperation and exchange expertise.
The meetings took place on the sidelines of the Education World Forum 2026, held in the British capital from 17 to 20 May.
During his meeting with the Jordanian minister, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations in the education sector and discussed mechanisms to expand cooperation and exchange successful educational experiences aimed at supporting the development of education systems in both countries.
In talks with the Turkish minister, Turko discussed efforts to develop the education sector and the main themes addressed at the forum, particularly digital transformation and the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into education.
The discussions also highlighted the importance of continued international coordination and the exchange of expertise and perspectives to support modernization of educational systems and improve outcomes for students and educational institutions.
The meetings come as part of Syria’s broader efforts to modernize the education sector, update curricula, strengthen digital transformation and expand the use of artificial intelligence in education.
