Damascus , Jan 14 (SANA) Deputy Minister of Education for Educational Affairs, Youssef Annan, met on Wednesday with representatives of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) to discuss prospects for joint cooperation in the education sector.
The talks addressed contributions to school rehabilitation, support for early childhood education, teacher training and capacity‑building, the establishment of vocational and language centers, and the integration of modern technologies into the learning process.
Annan stressed the importance of such partnerships in supporting the Ministry’s efforts to improve the quality of education and build qualified cadres capable of meeting the needs of development and the labor market.
The meeting comes as part of the Ministry’s broader efforts to strengthen cooperation with international organizations and expand partnerships aimed at advancing Syria’s education sector.
The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) comprises a group of international development agencies that work to improve living conditions and quality of life for those in need across more than 25 countries in the developing world.
