Damascus, April 26 (SANA) Governor of the Central Bank of Syria Abdulkader Husrieh held talks Sunday with Algerian Ambassador to Damascus Abdelkader Qasmi al-Hassani on ways to strengthen financial and banking cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting at the bank’s headquarters in Damascus, the two sides reviewed the longstanding ties linking Syria and Algeria, stressing the importance of building on those relations to expand cooperation, particularly in the financial and banking sectors.
They also discussed prospects for wider coordination and the exchange of expertise in ways that support economic stability and deepen bilateral partnerships serving the shared interests of both countries.
Husrieh reaffirmed the Central Bank’s commitment to strengthening communication channels with Algerian financial institutions.
For his part, the Algerian ambassador praised the strength of bilateral relations and stressed the importance of continued coordination and cooperation across various fields.
