Capitals, June 6 (SANA) Several Arab countries on Saturday strongly condemned an Israeli attack targeting a Lebanese Army patrol on the Khardali-Nabatieh road in southern Lebanon that killed two officers and a soldier, affirming it as a dangerous escalation and a violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and international law.

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry called on the international community to take immediate action and fulfill its responsibilities by pressuring Israel to halt its repeated attacks on Lebanese territory, respect international agreements, and fully implement UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

The ministry reaffirmed Qatar’s support for Lebanon’s sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity, and stability, and expressed condolences to the families of the victims and to the Lebanese people and government.

Saudi Arabia‘s Foreign Ministry also condemned the continued Israeli aggression against Lebanon, reiterating the kingdom’s rejection of attacks targeting Lebanon’s sovereignty and military institution.

The ministry expressed Saudi Arabia’s full solidarity with Lebanon and its people and extended condolences to the Lebanese government and the families of the soldiers killed in the attack.

In Cairo, Egypt‘s Foreign Ministry said targeting a Lebanese Army patrol represented a dangerous escalation that could widen the conflict and constituted a clear violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and international humanitarian law.

The ministry stressed the importance of supporting international, regional, and diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and preventing further escalation in the region.

Jordan also condemned the attack, describing it as a flagrant violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty, security, and stability.

Jordan called for an immediate halt to Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory, the preservation of the ceasefire agreement, and the full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Fouad Al-Majali reaffirmed Jordan’s support for Lebanon’s security, stability, and sovereignty, as well as efforts by the Lebanese government to extend state authority across the country and strengthen national institutions.
