Geneva, March 24 (SANA) The World Economic Forum (WEF) said it postponed its Global Collaboration and Growth Meeting, which was scheduled for April 2026 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, citing ongoing regional developments.
The decision was made in consultation with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Economy and Planning, the WEF said in a statement on its website.
The forum said the move reflects a commitment to holding the meeting under conditions that ensure its full strategic impact, without specifying a new date.
The Global Collaboration and Growth Meeting is intended to bring together policymakers, business leaders and international stakeholders to discuss economic priorities and opportunities in the region.
The WEF said it remains committed to advancing a forward-looking agenda for regional and global cooperation and will announce details of the rescheduled meeting in due course.
The postponement comes amid heightened regional tensions following U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran, with Tehran responding with missile and drone attacks on Israel and Gulf countries.
