Damascus, Feb. 10 (SANA) – Head of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport, Omar al-Hosari, discussed on Tuesday with Saudi Ambassador to Syria Faisal bin Saud al-Mujfel, prospects for joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of civil aviation.
The Authority said via its Telegram channel that the two sides discussed the agreements recently signed between the two countries, foremost among them the agreement to develop and operate Aleppo International Airport, in addition to an agreement to establish a low-cost airline company in partnership with Flynas, which represents an important milestone in the development of the air transport sector.
In a statement to SANA, al-Hosari said that these agreements reflect the level of trust and cooperation between Syria and Saudi Arabia, noting that they open new horizons for the exchange of technical and operational expertise and for enhancing air connectivity, in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly countries.

Syria and Saudi Arabia signed on Saturday a package of strategic contracts covering vital sectors such as aviation, telecommunications, infrastructure, water, in addition to real estate development, laying the foundation for a future phase of economic integration.
