Hama, March 28 (SANA) A volunteer team organized an open day on Saturday in Salamiyah, Hama countryside, featuring recreational and artistic activities and competitions designed to stimulate children’s intellectual development and provide psychological support.
Ali Ar’our, leader of the Alwan Youth Volunteer Team, told SANA that the events target children aged 5 to 12, combining group activities that promote teamwork with individual exercises aimed at developing skills. Children were divided into age groups to better structure the activities and achieve their objectives, he added.
Ar’our also noted that the team organizes similar events across villages and towns in the Salamiyah area to enhance children’s psychological well-being and nurture their abilities.
Randa Hanna, a resident of the village of Barri Sharqi, said she attended the event with her son and nephew, noting that the activities created an enjoyable atmosphere and brought happiness to the children.
The Alwan Youth Volunteer Team was established in Salamiyah in 2014 and aims to empower children and adolescents through social, cultural, and recreational programs.
