Homs, March 19 (SANA) A poetry and chanting evening was held yesterday in the al-Houla area of rural Homs to mark the 15th anniversary of the Syrian revolution, taking place at the local administration hall with the participation of residents.
Abdullah al-Saleh Mishal, deputy director of the al-Houla area, told SANA that the event aimed to highlight the revolution’s path, preserve its achievements, and honor the sacrifices of martyrs that formed the foundation of these accomplishments.
Poet Salah al-Khidr, director of the cultural center in Taldo and secretary of the Arab Writers Union branch in Homs, said the evening featured patriotic poems reflecting the spirit of the revolution and commemorating the symbolic sacrifices of its participants.
Al-Khidr emphasized the importance of renewing commitment to the revolution’s principles despite losses, stressing that the martyrs’ sacrifices will continue to inspire ongoing efforts in work and reconstruction.
The event also included an initiative distributing clothing to the children of martyrs, honoring their families’ sacrifices and reflecting values of loyalty and appreciation.
The evening is part of activities aimed at reinforcing national belonging, promoting a culture of loyalty, and emphasizing the importance of preserving the legacy of martyrs and safeguarding achievements.
