Culture Minister discusses with COSV of Italy heritage preservation

Damascus, SANA – Culture Minister Mohammed Yassin Al-Saleh discussed with COVS organization of Italy cooperation in the field of cultural heritage protection.

During the meeting held on Sunday, participants addressed challenges and opportunities related to the preservation of Syrian cultural heritage, and presented proposals for developing joint initiatives aimed at preserving Syria’s cultural heritage and activating the role of local communities in protecting it.

COSV is an Italian non-governmental organization interested in environment, human rights, intercultural dialogue, arts, and economic development.

The Italian ambassador to Damascus, representatives of government institutions, local community organizations, and stakeholders in the cultural heritage sector in Syria attended the meeting.
