Washington, SANA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif stressed that combating terrorism in Syria represents a joint objective for Iran and Russia.
Russian Sputnik News Agency quoted Zarif as saying Friday in New York that “Iran and Russia are both interested in eradicating terrorism in Syria, adding that terrorism poses a threat not only to regional states but also to countries beyond the region”.
Zarif stressed that terrorist groups active in Syria, like ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra present a “serious imminent threat” for regional states, as well as Russia.
