Damascus, SANA-A Syrian media delegation has recently paid a visit to Indonesia within the framework of joint efforts to enhance cooperation between the two friendly countries.
The visit came upon an invitation by the Ministry of Tourism in Indonesia in cooperation with the Syrian Ministry of Information and the Indonesian embassy in Damascus.
The visit included multiple tours to get to know some of the cities and archaeological and natural sites in Indonesia, such as Borobudur Temple the largest Buddhist temple in the world that is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The Syria delegation visited handicrafts workshops to get to know the Indonesian traditional industries and a number of monuments and tourist sites in the cities of Yogyakarta, Malang, Batu and Magelang.
For their part, the delegation members thanked the Indonesian side for the warm reception and hospitality they received during their visit, expressing admiration for the Indonesian archaeological and natural tourist sites, affirming the strength of the friendship ties that bind the Syrian and Indonesian peoples.
