“The Noise of Memory” wins Best Director Award at Wasit Film Festival in Iraq

Damascus, SANA – The Syrian movie “The Noise of Memory” won the Best Director Award at Wasit Film Festival in Iraq that wrapped up on Friday in al-Kut city.

The film was directed by Kawthar Maarrawi and produced by the General Establishment of Cinema.

This was the festival’ first edition in which 90 films from a number of Arab and foreign countries took part.

The Egyptian film “Layla” won the Golden Award and “Rainbow” from Bahrain won the Best Screenplay Award.
