Player Bassem Abboud wins the Republic 8-Ball Billiards Championship

Damascus, SANA – Player Bassem Abboud of al-Jaish Club won on Saturday the Republic 8-Ball Billiards Championship beating Tareq al-Labed 9-6 in the final game, held at the billiards and snooker hall in al-Faihaa Sport City in Damascus.

The third place was won by Montaser Najm-Eddin from Damascus.

36 players participated in the tournament, which kicked off on Thursday, representing 11 provinces including Damascus, Damascus Countryside, Quneitra, Aleppo, Lattakia, Sweida, Daraa, Hama and Tartous. Players from al-Muhafaza Club and al-Jaish Club also took part in the Championship.

The Billiards Union will launch on Sunday the Republic 9-Ball Villiards Championship for men, which will last for two days.
