Syrian dentist awarded Gold Prize of SIIF 2015

Seoul, SANA- Syrian Dentist Mohammad Imad al-Droubi was awarded Gold Prize of the Seoul International Intervention Fair (SIIF) 2015 in Seoul, Korea, for his invention “Droubi Implant System”, while Russia won the Silver medal and Swiss won the Bronze one.

The fair was organized by Korean Union for Supporting Inventions in cooperation with the UN World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA).

Al-Droubi told SANA Sunday that that he invented an overall dental implant system called MAS in abbreviation of (For Syria).

The System is based on implanting teeth without surgery based on integrated system including ‘implanting motor’ which works for 2 hours without electricity.

Some 400 inventors from 34 countries across the world took part in the fair which ran from November 26th to 29th .

He added that he also won the Award for Best International Invention Presented by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) for the excellent invention presented by head of delegations of a number of countries participating in the Fair including Germany, Thailand and Taiwan.

Al-Droubi was born in Homs in 1959. He has BS from Damascus University and a degree in dentistry from Yerevan University. He won several golden medals in a number of international fairs in the field of teeth implanting.

He has also studies and research in the patent field from Tanta and Ain Shams Universities in Egypt.
