A symposium and photo gallery on terrorists’ crimes in Syria held in Italy

Rome, SANA- The Syrian Arab community in Italy, in cooperation with the Italian “SOLID” Organization and Branco local organization, organized a symposium titled “Syria… A Freedom or Terrorism,” and a photo gallery at Milan City with the participation of the Ministry of Tourism to display the crimes of the terrorist organizations in Syria.

Member of the People’s Assembly Maria Sa’ada, speaking at the symposium, referred to the danger of terrorism, underlining the necessity of combating it not only through arms, but also through fighting the terrorist mentality and its expansion to the European continent.

MP Sa’ada proposed an initiative based on six points set by Syrian intellectuals and thinkers from all the spectrums of the Syrian society.

The intellectuals called for lifting the unjust economic siege imposed on Syria, not breaking off the diplomatic relations with it, recognizing the legitimacy of the Syrian state, and fighting terrorism.

For their part, members of the community, in a speech delivered on their behalf by head of the community Jamal Abu Abbas, warned against the danger of terrorism which threatens the whole world.

Representative of Branco Organization talked about terrorism in Syria and its backers, such as the European Union member states, referring to the terrorists’ acts of killings and destroying the worship places in Syria.

In turn, “SOLID” Organization Representative said that the Syrian army and people are defending their right in living in peace, indicating that Syria today is fighting terrorism on behalf of the whole world.

He hailed the courage and heroism of the Syrian Arab Army which has been countering terrorism from five years without stopping till achieving the victory.

During the Symposium, the Syrian community displayed photos on the destruction of the infrastructure, the antiquities and the worship places in Syria at the hands of the armed terrorist groups.

The Ministry of Tourism reviewed its project of “I Belong” for the first time in Milan.

The project focuses on rebuilding the cultural and historical heritage which belongs to the international heritage and all the internationally famous tourist areas which have been affected by the terrorist acts.
