Damascus, SANA- Grand Mufti of the Republic Dr. Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun affirmed the importance of instilling the values of respect and dialogue with people from different cultures in the new generations and immunizing them against extremist ideology.
During his meeting with a visiting Russian women’s delegation headed by chairwoman of the Russian Spiritual Heritage Foundation of St. Paul Valentina Lantseva, Hassoun pointed out that Syria, which is a perfect example of Muslim-Christian fraternity ,is now subject to a conspiracy led by regional and international powers that aims to undermine its security and stability.
“The Syrian people love and respect the Russian people who have supported Syria during the crisis,” he added.
Members of delegation hailed the deep bilateral relations between Syria and Russia and the necessity of enhancing efforts to stop the aggressive war waged o Syria, reiterating Russia’s full support for Syria.
