Russia would find alternative routes for delivering humanitarian aid to Syria, Ryabkov says

Moscow, SANA- Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov stressed Russia’s intention to continue offering humanitarian aid to Syria by using alternative routes instead of the Greek and Bulgarian airspaces.

Moscow would continue to supply humanitarian aid to Syria on alternative routes after Bulgaria and Greece closed their airspace for Russian aircrafts, Ryabkov said.

In an interview with Russian Tass News Agency on the sidelines of Russia Arms Expo 2015, Ryabkov said Russia will find alternative routes.

He expressed regret that some countries yielded to the US and NATO pressures through abandoning their international duties in providing air routes for the plans to do their duties in settling the humanitarian problems.

The international community has become aware about the humanitarian situation in Syria and the suffering of the Syrian people, Ryabkov said, asserting that hindering the practical steps to improve things at such situation along with issuing verbal statements showing concern is considered hypocrisy.
