Turkish Former Foreign Minister rejects Erdogan’s policies against Syria

Ankara, SANA Turkish former Foreign Minister, Yasar Yakıs rejected the policies of Erdogan’s regime against Syria, saying Ankara has no right to interfere in the internal affairs of Syria or launching any aggression against it under whatever pretexts and justifications.

In an interview with “Samanyolu TV” channel on Saturday,Yakıs pointed out that only the Syrian people are to decide their own destiny and everybody should cooperate with Damascus to end the crisis in Syria.

He expressed concern over relation between Turkish government and armed terrorist organizations in Syria, noting that this relation threatens Turkey’s international relations.

For his part, Deputy Chairman of the Republican People’s Party Osman Ozjalik urged the Turkish government to abandon its hostile polices against Syria.

There is no logical justification to the military intervention in Syria, Ozjalik told the channel.

“We repeatedly warned the government that relations with terrorist groups will create a lot of problems to Turkey, but it did not listen” he elaborated, adding that everybody in the world is talking now about the support provided by Justice and development government to terrorist groups, as we are talking now about its vague relations with Qatar and Saudi Arabia”.

Meanwhile, in a joint statement, leaders of 59 civil and unionist organizations in the city of Diyar Baker, southeast Turkey, condemned the threats of Erdogan’s regime and the government of the Justice and development on launching a military aggression on Syria, calling upon Turkish people to face those policies.
