Damascus, SANA-Foreign and Expatriates Minister Asaad al-Shaibani met Thursday in Damascus with a delegation from the EU, headed by Ms. Hélène Le Gal, European Director for Middle East and North Africa.
The talks dealt with the latest developments regarding the lifting of sanctions, as the both parties expressed great optimism about this.
They also discussed the political situation in Syria and the upcoming entitlements, with regard to the National Conference to be held.
The European delegation expressed its readiness to help in the missing persons file, in addition to enhancing cooperation, joint work and ways to support the Syrian people at all levels, in a way that serves the interests of the Syrian people.
