Damascus, SANA- Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hammouda Sabagh met on Tuesday Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Damascus, Tigran Gevorgian.
Sabbagh stressed the importance of relations which gather Syria and Armenia and the need for boosting them in all domains, particularly in the parliamentary one in addition to the economic domain.
He added that the terrorist war to which Syria has been exposed during the last years is nothing but a desperate attempt by international criminal powers to affect the Syrian stances.
Ambassador Gevorgian, for his part, described as “strong and deeply-rooted” the relations between Syria and Armenia.
He condemned the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the Israeli latest attack on the Iranian consulate.
