Damascus, (SANA) President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko sent on Saturday a cable to President Bashar al-Assad, congratulating him for his victory in recent presidential vote.
Lukashenko expressed confidence that Syria will emerge victorious from the current crisis in sync with its counterterrorism efforts, and will stand its ground against foreign meddlesome policies.
As he wished the Syrian more prosperity and peace, the Belarusian president affirmed keen interest in bolstering and deepening bilateral relations between Syria and Belarus for their common interests.
Meanwhile, cables congratulating President Bashar al-Assad for his overwhelming victory in recent presidential polls continued to pour in, with international, Arab and Syrian figures and parties sending him their heart-felt congratulations.
The Syrian people have proved to the whole world that in their hands solely lies the decision to determine Syria’s future, said the figures in their letters.
The letters affirmed that Syria, led by President al-Assad, will witness a new stage that will see terrorism eradicated and constitutional principles and the rule of law further deepened.
The figures hoped that Syria will see security and stability under the wise leadership of President al-Assad.
The cables came from chairperson of the National Congress of Western Armenians (NCWA), the Moldovan Veterans Association, Head of the Iraqi National Alliance Ibrahim Jaafari, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab Bar Association Samih Khrais, the Iraqi National Conference Leader Ahmad Al-Jalabi, Sheikh Akl of the Muslim Druze denomination in Syria, Hammoud Yahya al-Hinnawi.
