A fire broke out in Ashiq Omar town in Massyaf countryside

Hama, SANA- Hama Fire Brigade are working to put out a fire that broke out in agricultural lands in the vicinity of the town of Ashiq Omar in the Massyaf countryside, west of Hama province.

Head of the Forest Protection Center in Massyaf, Eng. Amjad Hammad, said in a statement to SANA reporter that a huge fire broke out inside the agricultural lands in the vicinity of the town of Ashiq Omar in Massyaf countryside, adding that it was extinguished from the north to ensure that it did not reach the homes of citizens.

 “The rugged terrain of the area and the high temperatures caused the fire to spread to the depth of the valley east of the town,” Hammad indicated, stressing that cadres from the Forest Protection Center in Massyaf, Hama Forest and the Civil Defense are working to put out the fire and control it.
