Mortar attacks, gunfire cause injuries, material damage in Damascus and its countryside

Damascus, SANA- A new terrorist attack with mortar shells caused material damage to two houses in al-Amara neighborhood in Damascus on Friday.

A source at the Police Command told SANA reporter that three mortar shells fired by terrorists landed in al-Akibya area in al-Amara ancient neighborhood which is adjacent to the Grand Umayyad Mosque.

The attack caused material damage to two houses and a number of cars, the source said.

A number of civilians wounded by terrorist gunfire in Beit Sahm

A number of civilians were injured after terrorists opened fire randomly on citizens in Beit Sahm area in Damascus Countryside.

A source at the Governorate’s Police Command told SANA that Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists opened fire on civilians who were exiting a mosque in the area, causing the injury of a number of them.

Locals of the area had been taking to the streets demanding the departure of terrorists from the area. Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists have often responded by opening fire on them.

Mortar attack causes material damage in Harasta suburb

Terrorists launched mortar attacks on Harasta suburb in Damascus countryside, causing material damage.

A source at the Police Command told SANA reporter that a mortar shell fired by terrorists landed on Harasta suburb’s roundabout, causing material damage to three cars parked in the area but no human casualties.
