Damascus,SANA-Minister of Information, Boutros Hallaq, met with Professor Vitaly Naumkin, president of Orientalism Institute of the Sciences Academy of the Russian Federation, and the accompanying delegation.
After meeting, the Russian delegation held a dialogue seminar chaired by Minister al-Hallaq with a number of members of the People’s Assembly, media figures, intellectuals, writers and university professors.
Professor Naumkin underlined during the seminar that the Russian-Syrian ties are distinguished and move forward, noting that Syria stands by his country at international forums, especially before the United Nations General Assembly, regarding various issues.
The Russian delegation’s visit to Syria, which lasts for a week, aims to introduce the nature of the work of the Orientalism Institute and the possibility of cooperation with Syrian thinkers and media professionals.
