Russian business delegation visits project sites in Lattakia

Lattakia, SANA – A delegation of Russian commercial and industrial figures headed by director of the Russian company Adyg-Yurak, Aslan Panesh, visited a number of agricultural production projects in Lattakia province.

The delegation, accompanied by Lattakia Governor Ibrahim Khedr al-Salem, also inspected proposed sites for commercial and agricultural projects, including an exports complex and an agricultural equipment factory, in addition to visiting food storage warehouses, a project for packing and marketing produce, and the unloading dock in Lattakia harbor.

Governor al-Salem said that the Governorate will form a committee to inspect the quality of goods prepped for exportation, affirming commitment to supporting farmers and exporters to help boost exports.

Members of the delegation requested suggestions on Syria’s needs in terms of agricultural equipment and tractors and details on the conditions for investing in the exports complex, with Panesh saying that this visit could lead to signing agreements with Syrian businessmen to export Syrian produce to Russia.
