Belarusian relief plane lands at Lattakia International Airport

Lattakia, SANA-A Belarusian aid plane arrived at Lattakia International Airport, accompanied by the Belarusian Deputy Minister of Emergencies, Khodolev Alexander, and Belarusian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Damascus Yuri Sluka.

“This batch of aid is the seventh batch provided by Belarus to the earthquake victims in Syria, and there are more batches to be sent later” Belarusian Deputy Minister of Emergencies said in a statement to SANA.

He added that this aid came under the directive of the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to help the friendly Syrian people in this ordeal, and it reflects the solidarity of the Belarusian people and their standing with Syria.

In turn, the Director of the Airport, Eng. Ziyad al-Tawil, said that the plane was carrying 35 tons of food and medical relief materials, medicines, tents and blankets.
