Heavy rains in most provinces, heaviest in Hama, Temperatures lower than average

Provinces, SANA- Rain fell in most Syrian provinces during the past 24 hours, as the heaviest rain amounts have registered 105mm in Hama and 99mm in Homs provinces.

According to the rain bulletin issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reforms, the rain amounts in some Syrian provinces reached 60mm in Damascus and Damascus Countryside, 34mm in Quneitra, 99mm in Homs, 15mm in Daraa, 12 in Sweida, 78mm in Tartous and 60mm in Lattakia, 40mm in Idleb 8mm in Deir Ezzor, 11mm in Aleppo, 14mm in Raqqa and 50mm in Hasaka.

Temperatures will remain from 3 to-6 degrees lower than average as the country is affected by a low air pressure accompanied by a wet and cold air mass in all layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Saturday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy in general to cloudy and rainy in most areas, rain will fall heavily accompanied with thunder on the coastal and al-Jazeera regions.

The department warned against formation of floods in the valleys; the winds will be western to southwestern of moderate speed and with active gust while the sea waves will be medium in amplitude.

The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 15/07, Daraa 14/06, Homs 15/07, Hama 15/07, Lattakia 20/14, Aleppo 16/08 and Deir Ezzor 18/08.
