Russian military delivers humanitarian aid to resident of Ukraine’s Kherson

Moscow, SANA- The Russian troops delivered over 140 tons of humanitarian assistance to Kherson, despite attempts by Ukrainian nationalists to hinder that, Russian Defense Ministry announced.

“More than 140 tons of humanitarian assistance were delivered by Russia to the residents of Kherson and neighboring villages in southern Ukraine”, the Ministry said in a statement cited by Novosti Agency.

A convoy of humanitarian aid arrived in Kherson city coming from Crimea Republic, and the Russian military ensured the safety of movement and the delivery of food parcels and other basic needs, according to the statement.

The statement stressed that everyone can obtain food from different areas of Kherson city, including the area near the regional administration.

The nationalist militants in Kherson tried to obstruct the delivery of humanitarian aid and deliberately intimidated civilians while the foodstuffs were being distributed.
