Arnous launches work on renewable energy project to produce 110 mw in industrial city of Adra

Damascus countryside, SANA-Caretaker Prime Minister, Hussein Arnous, chaired a meeting at the administration building of Adra Industrial City in Damascus countryside, with talks  focusing on the State support for industrial cities and industrialists and providing facilities in order to increase production and secure various commodities that meet the local market and the needs of citizens.

During the meeting, Arnous pointed out to the need for moving towards the establishment of investments for alternative energies in Adra Industrial City to be a nucleus for moving to advanced stages and applying the experience in other industrial cities.

He elaborated that providing electricity through alternative energies for industrial cities is on the government priority list, adding that the best solution to the current electricity situation is by launching projects of renewable energies to meet the requirements of work and production in cities and industrial areas, and to contribute to securing additional quantities of electrical power for residential areas.

Arnous added that there is a shortage in the electrical energy and “we have no solution, but alternative energies, which are the fastest, and today we started in the industrial city of Adra with a project of 110 mw, as well as in the industrial city of Hasiya there is a tendency to find a site for solar energy and in Aleppo we started months ago and today we have 42 m under implementation.
