Continuing discussions of promoting economic and trade relations between Syria and Iran

Damascus, SANA- The participants in the second day of commercial, economic, and technical talks between Syria and Iran continued discussing the state of economic and trade relations, particularly in the fields of agriculture, industry, medicine, petroleum, energy, and factories.

The two sides also discussed establishing grain silos, mills, housing and services projects, and electric power stations.

The session on Monday was headed by Secretary General of the Cabinet Tayseer al-Zoubi and Chairman of the Iranian-Syrian Economic Relations’ Development Committee Rostam Ghasemi.

The Syrian side reviewed a number of economic and services projects and the possibility of Iranian companies and businessmen participating in carrying them out.

In a statement to SANA, al-Zoubi asserted the importance of these meetings which focus on cooperating to establishing joint investment projects to benefit from Iranian experiences and technological advances in it.

Al-Zoubi pointed out that the planned joint projects aim to promote economic development in Syria and achieve comprehensive and sustainable development for national economy.

A session of official talks was held on Sunday between the two sides for discussing new plans of joint work and mechanisms of developing economic and trade relations.
