Capitals, SANA- According to the latest statistics by the American Worldometers Website, the novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of more than one million and 942 thousand people since its appearance last December 2019.
The website added that the total number of infections recorded worldwide has reached up to 90,636,894 up till now, while the deaths have climbed to 1,942,095, and the recoveries have amounted to 64,757,025.
The US still tops the most affected countries by the virus worldwide in terms of the registered infections and deaths as it has recorded 383, 017 deaths, out of 22,886,532 infections, while India comes second with 151,198 deaths out of 10,467, 431 infections, and then comes Brazil with 203,100 deaths out of 8,105,790 infections.
