For the second day of new school year … about 100,000 students in Hasaka are deprived by QSD militia from their right to learn

Hasaka, SANA – Dozens of schools in cities and villages in Hasaka province are transformed by US occupation –backed QSD militia into jails and military headquarters and illegitimate bases to deprive thousands of students from learning with the aim of spreading illiteracy within the young generation  in the light of the utter silence from international organizations that guarantee the right of education.

Students of Hasaka province didn’t enjoy happiness with start of the school year to join in their schools, they are only stand at the doors of schools to stage sit- in and protest as they are exposed  to attacks by QSD militia that wants to impose their presence by force and seize on the service and educational institutions.

According to the statistics of Education Directorate in Hasaka, Militia by force seized on 2,285 schools to all the educational stages in the province, the last one of which was shortly before starting the new school year and seize on 118 secondary schools to stay only about 179 ones that are run by Hasaka Education Directorate to all the educational stages.

Director of Hasaka  department , Ilham Sorkhan said in a statement to SANA that US occupation –backed QSD militia deliberately seized schools after the people rejected the curricula that militia wanted to impose on the students by force ,affirming that about 100,000 students  have been affected and deprived from education  due to irresponsible  behaviors of QSD .

She added the QSD militia dominance on schools cause pressure on the governmental schools which are run by Education directorate and we are currently working according to capabilities to accommodate the largest possible number, but the numbers are very large.

 Every day, the locals affirm their rejection of the practices of QSD militia via demonstrations and sit-ins in front of schools, rejecting the curricula that the militia wants to impose and attack the administrative and educational staff , in addition to threats ,if  they  continue their refusal stances.
