Damascus, SANA – The Health Ministry announced on Monday that 26 new Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were registered for persons who were in close contact with infected people, and that 10 patients have recovered while 4 others have passed away.
The Ministry said in a statement that the total number of the registered cases in Syria reached 522 so far, of which 154 patients have recovered while 29 have passed away.
The first case of Coronavirus was registered in Syria on March 22nd for a person who had come from abroad, while the first death was recorded on the 29th of the same month.
