Al-Hasaka, SANA-Two weeks after the start of the wheat harvest, the US- backed QSD groups continue preventing farmers from marketing their wheat to centers accredited by the Syrian Grain Branch, which causes great suffering to Peasants who refuse to hand it over to any side other than the official government agencies.
Dozens of trucks loaded with tons of wheat from peasant fields are still on the roads waiting for the QSD groups to stop their intimidation, terror practices and allow the trucks to reach the marketing centers accredited by the Syrian Institution for grains at the price set by the state.
In the context, local sources told SANA reporter that the QSD groups had blocked and cut off the main roads for peasants and the tightened the noose around checkpoints on main roads and the deployed their armed groups in dirt roads to prevent wheat crops from reaching the marketing centers.
The reporter pointed to the farmers’ continuous refusal to deliver their Production to QSD that tries to steal it through prices that don’t suit the effort of the farmers.
