Gardenia Choir female singers release new song on Coronavirus from their homes

Damascus, SANA-  Female singers from Gardenia Choir have released a new song on the social media which addresses the conditions of the quarantine due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).

The video clip of the song, whose music was much influenced by the famous hymn of “Ring the Bells “, shows each singer of Gardenia Choir singing the newly-released song while being at home.

“The idea of the song came from the fact that all of us are staying at homes because of the quarantine which was imposed to prevent the outbreak of the coronavirus,” singer Ghada Harb, head of Gardenia Choral, told SANA.

Harb added “During the quarantine I came up with the idea of writing a song with words that express the situation which we are passing through nowadays and singing it with a melody for the Ukrainian author Mykola Leontovych.”

This song is the second initiative of its kind by Gardenia Choral as the choral singers have launched another initiative with the beginning of the quarantine and the social distancing in a video clip through which each of them sings from her home.
