Deir Ezzor, SANA – The US occupation forces imposed a blockade on al-Basira city in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, preventing locals from entering or exiting it, while the people of Mohaimda village protested against Qasad (SDF).

Local sources told SANA on Sunday that US occupation forces and Qasad groups imposed a blockade on al-Basira city, closing all its entrances completely out of fear from the spread of protests from the villages and towns of Deir Ezzor to it.

The sources also said that the people of Mohaimda village in Deir Ezzor’s northwestern countryside protested against Qasad’s practices and the lack of basic services and any security in the areas under its control.

According to the sources, Qasad members opened fire on the protesters to disperse them, martyring one civilian and injuring two others, which caused tensions to rise in the nearby villages and towns, with the people of Safira town blocking the road between Deir Ezzor and Raqqa with burning tires.
