Damascus, SANA, Competition of the second phase of the Syrian Science Olympiad for the 10th grade students started Sunday at high schools all over the country with the participation of 17124 students.
Chairman of the National Commission for the Syrian Scientific Olympiad Imad al- Azb told SANA that the tests took place at the same time in all provinces with unified questions that aim at choosing the best students in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Natural Science and Informatics.
He pointed out that the first five students in each subject will be qualified to represent their cities in the provinces competition which will be held on 23th of November.
The National Commission for the Syrian Scientific Olympiad launched first phase of its scientific competition at the school levels at last October with participation of more than 42,000 students from all provinces.
