New York, SANA- UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres reaffirmed that the declaration of the Israeli occupation’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu on annexing Palestinian territories in the West Bank is illegal procedure and it undermines any possibility of finding a settlement.
In a statement on Wednesday, Guterres said ” Such measures will be a flagrant violation of the international law if they are implemented and they will be destructive to the possibility of reviving negotiations and regional peace.”
On Tuesday, the UN represented by Guterres warned the prime minister at the government of the Israeli occupation of the consequences of his declaration on his intention to annex Palestinian territories in the West Bank to the occupation’s entity, affirming that this scheme will not have any “international legal bases.”
