Foreign tourists: What terrorists have inflicted on Palmyra is crime against humanity

Palmyra, SANA_ In the context of the gradual return of tourist movement  to the Syrian archaeological sites, a group of foreign tourists visited the ancient city of Palmyra and documented the destruction caused by the systematic attacks of  “Daesh” terrorist organization before it was defeated from the area by the Syrian Arab Army.

The group, of different nationalities, was briefed on the National Museum of Palmyra, the famous Bell Temple, the columns street, the archaeological theater, the headquarters of the Senate of the old Palmyraean people and other historical landmarks in the city.

The foreign tourists from Germany, Mexico and Canada stressed that what terrorists have inflicted on Palmyra is a crime against humanity.

Since the return of security and stability, Palmyra, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980, has witnessed numerous visits of media and tourist delegations as it is considered one of the oldest historical cities in the world, which has spread over a large area.
