Karim Allaf second in singles and doubles in Kuwait ITF Junior Tournament

Kuwait, SANA – Tennis player Karim Allaf won the second place in the final game of the singles competitions in the 7th Kuwait ITF Junior Tournament.

He lost to Saudi player Ammar al-Haqbani, who holds U.S. citizenship, 6-2 and 6-3 in two sets in the game that was held earlier today.

Allaf also was ranked second in doubles competitions together with his Turkish partner Kaya Kor in the game held on Friday in which both players lost to a Saudi doubles team 7-6 and 6-2.

Allaf and Kor beat a Swedish team in the semi-finals 4-6, 6-4 and 8-10, after winning over an Egyptian team in the quarter-finals.

Allaf was ranked second in the final singles game in the 6th Zain Bahrain ITF Juniors Championships last Saturday, also losing to al-Haqbani.

The new achievements will improve Allaf’s ranking in the ITF rankings for under-18 players, where he is now placed 338 internationally.
