Syria wins 11 medals at West Asia Karate Championship

Sharijah, SANA – Syria’s national karate team won 11 medals in the West Asia Karate Championship that wrapped up in Sharjah city in the United Arab Emirates.

On Sunday, the last day of competitions, the national team’s medal tally was four silvers, and three bronzes, with the silvers earned in the categories of kata, under 68 kg, above 68 kg and women’s collective fight, and the bronzes in the categories of under 67 kg, above 84 kg and men’s collective fight.

On the first day, the team clinched two gold, one silver and one bronze medals in the categories of under 57 kg, under 52 kg, under 63kg and under 60 kg, respectively.
