Prague. SANA- Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis announced that his country will  establish an orphanage compound in Syria over an area of 20,000 square meters. The facility will at first have a capacity of 50 children but will later be expanded.

“Syrian companies will build that compound based on the design of a Syrian architect  and the Czech Republic will cover the costs for the first year of the compound’s activity ,” Babis said in an interview with Czech TV last night after receiving Head of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent Khalid Hoboubati.

He added that cooperation in this domain will be done on the level of the Czech Red Cross and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent “SARC” Organization.

Babis discussed with Hoboubati means to cooperate for enhancing the services provided by the organization to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian citizens.

The project of establishing an orphanage in Damascus financed and supported by Czech businessmen was also on the table.
