Beijing, SANA- China on Monday reaffirmed its stance which calls for respecting Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
Commenting on the Israeli aggression on the Syrian territories at dawn, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman said in a press conference on Monday “China has always affirmed the necessity of respecting, protecting and defending Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.”
“The political settlement to the crisis in Syria has currently reached an important and decisive stage,” she noted.
She considered that the “parties concerned should prevent from taking any steps that might lead to escalating the tension and to preserve the security and stability of the region and encourage the political settlement to the crisis in Syria.”
Earlier, a military source said that a 1:10 am on Monday 21/01/2019, the Israeli enemy conducted land and air strikes through consecutive waves of guided missiles, and the Syrian air defenses retaliated immediately and intercepted the hostile missiles and destroyed most of them before they reached their targets.
