Prague, SANA – President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman asserted that he supported Syria since the beginning of the crisis in it, which drew criticism against him, adding that supporting the Syrian government against Daesh (ISIS) terror organization is logical.
In a televised interview, Zeman said that the Syrian government is now controlling the majority of Syrian territory, and Syrians displaced due to terrorism are now returning to their towns and villages.
He said that Syrian people had always had a high economic performance and work productivity in various fields, which proves that Syrians are capable of rebuilding their country.
The Czech government had provided aid to Syria throughout the past years, and asserted the need to fight and uproot terrorism, which drew the criticism of some Western states that support terrorist organizations in Syria.
